  • List-id: This is a discussion list for members of the Xen Project FuSa SIG <fusa-sig.lists.xenproject.org>

Hi all,

These are the notes that I took during today's FuSa SIG call.

Cheers,

Stefano

Bertrand volunteered to look into a common in-code comment tag for
deviations. One that could work with multiple tools, e.g. Eclair,
Coverity and more.

Bertrand also volunteered to check whether Arm would be able to use
their existing internal MISRA-C scanning tool to scan upstream Xen
branches for issues, and send back results to the community. One of the
questions is whether the results could be sent to xen-devel or just to a
few maintainers.

We all agreed we should look into the list of violations and identify a
few of them that are good to fix, in terms of code improvement, and easy
to fix, in terms of upstreaming challenges. Then, we could divide the
workload of fixing this first set of issues between the FuSa SIG
members.

Stefano volunteered to write an example deviation justification for the
_start/_end pointers comparison issue. We'll invite David Ward to the
next FuSa SIG meeting to discuss what level of details is required in
the justification.
