Define "typical" :)

For MirageOS, I think those are comparable, though MirageOS can go
lower in terms of memory use (16MiB used in NSDI'15; on-disk size of a
presentation unikernel typically under 10MB -- NSDI'15 presentation
claims 2MB) and faster in terms of startup (20-30ms claimed on x86 in
the NSDI'15 paper, and 30-45ms claimed in the presentation -- Anil, is
there really a discrepancy?).

Stefano,
looks good. I added a few tags ... and will add a few links. Also I changed/will change some terminology, e.g. "[test] infrastructure"="Xen Project Test Lab", etc.
Other comments in [...]

Also, I think adding sub headers would be good

<h2>Conflicting User, Distro and Developer Requirements</h2>
It was back then that ...

<h2>Raisin: Xen's DevStack</h2>
How to find a solution that ...

<h2>Raisin: Where we are, what's next</h2>
After few busy months of development, ...

Other commands are available to install and configure the system with the most common settings.
...
[Comment: I was wondering whether there is a link to a in-tree doc or something we can link to]
[Aside: we should also create a wiki page for Raisin. If you point me to the necessary info, I can put this together]

<h3>Making Testing Easier</h3>
Talking about tests, ...

Regards
Lars

Stefano,

Regards
Lars

Another thing: we should probably also include a More Information section pointing to the repo and other resources. And maybe a call for action, if that makes sense at this stage

I think you could perhaps mention another benefit (somewhere around
"Distro people can refer to Raisin as the most common way to build")
which is that raisin "keeps us devs honest", by making us think more
carefully about the boundaries between (or interfaces with) the external
projects which we rely upon, which ultimately benefits distros and users
by forcing us to experience (and therefore fix) many of the same
problems that they already do with the more entangled status quo.

Stefano,
as far as I understand Raisin is not tied to a specific release for the Xen Hypervisor. Is it worthwhile pointing this out? If so, which versions of Xen have been used with Raisin?

That is a good point. In general Raisin doesn't require a specific Xen
version. In fact one can specify any tag, or commit id, one wants on the
config file. However Raisin requires a couple of build time config
option that only appeared in Xen 4.4.

I'll write this down on the blog post.

See https://blog.xenproject.org/?p=3D10818&preview=3Dtrue =
<https://blog.xenproject.org/?p=3D10818&preview=3Dtrue>

Note that we changed the format. In a nutshell, we highlighted security =
issues in the past, because the list of XSA's was easy to put together =
and it is hard to come up with a meaningful list of interesting bug =
fixes and improvements. However for the last point release, this =
approach totally backfired: see =
http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/03/24/xen_shows_off_35piece_cloudpocalyp=
se_collection/ =
<http://www.theregister.co.uk/2015/03/24/xen_shows_off_35piece_cloudpocaly=
pse_collection/>

As a result, we moved all the information related to change sets into =
the download page and shortened the mail announcements. For the blog =
post, I added some highlights, which are a bit random. We can take this =
out or change it, if necessary. Please let me know.

I do want to publish later today
