In addition to that: I'm not sure what you want the console for, but if it's to 
have some sort of interaction with element handlers, a simpler solution might 
be to add the ControlSocket element to the build.

    That's right, there was a v1 for console sent and reviewed on the
    mailing list. Costin Birlea (CC'ed) has been working on that and we hope
    we will upstream the console implementation in September the latest.
