Thanks for fixing the extensive list of comments from Florian. There are still 
cases where providing maliciously-formatted strings (e.g., 
test.testarr2=\"'''''''''''''''''''\"\"\"wef238@#*(@#\") causes unexpected 
behavior, but I'm satisfied that the code can handle most common typos/errors 
-- we're not trying to be robust to intentionally malicious behavior.
