Hi Masoud,

I'm CCing Haris Rotsos, who wrote the implementation you are referring to.  It 
would be very useful to have that ported to the modern Tcpip library (since we 
can also upgrade the switch to use a faster vchan [1] protocol quite easily 
from there too)

I think the tap setup on Unix will be fairly standard Linux networking -- you 
need to create a bridge for the switch interfaces, and one of the controller, 
and add the relevant tap interfaces there.
