== Attendees == Lars Kurth Joao Martins Jim Fehlig Anthony Perard Michael Glasgow Cedric Bosdonnat == ACTION == As per open/ongoing actions: * vif name too long when libvirt driver trying to create XEN HVM domain See https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1450465 on OpenStack side See https://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2016-12/msg00004.html on Xen side … ACTION: Jim to investigate where such a change needs to be made and whether it is invasive (NOTE: Jim notes that this may take some time) Jim: Sorry I haven't found time to make progress on this. Offline Question: Should we update https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1450465 with a reference to https://lists.xen.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2016-12/msg00004.html and https://lists.xenproject.org/archives/html/xen-devel/2017-01/msg01979.html? … ACTION: Lars to actually do this and update docs Lars: I have not had time to do this == Agenda == * Ci Loop failures / Status of CI Loop … ACTION: Anthony will send a quick summary of these two issues to the list See https://lists.xenproject.org/archives/html/wg-openstack/2017-02/msg00002.ht ml However, I am not sure whether there is any actionable outcome from this Anthony: not sure what is actionable Anthony: keep on running into issues Lars: Still don't know the root causes Anthony: Correct Lars: anyone suggestions Joao: any more information, willing to help Joao: do we have any details on how to reproduce Anthony: fail to suspend - when Linux is booting and when OS is trying to spawn the guest. Lars: What would you need from Anthony? ACTION: Anthony to summarise in an e-mail to the list (then Joao can look into this as well) * New Bug I saw the following notification in the #openstack-nova channel but haven’t investigated. Looks like a bug in libvirt+xen with newer libvirt versions than used in your CI. Launchpad bug 1670522 in OpenStack Compute (nova) "TypeError booting instance with libvirt+xen in _create_pty_device with libvirt>=1.3.3" [High,Triaged] https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1670522 Anthony: Thinks that is fixed Lars: fixed released - so no issue I don’t know anything more than that, so if it’s OK with you I won’t plan on joining the call but I guess it might be worth discussing == AOB == Jim: do we have anything in the OpenStack Docs. Should update tunnel documentation (libvirt 3.1.0 has that) ... Michael: Ocata was just released: https://www.openstack.org/news/view/302/openstack-ocata-strengthens-core-in frastructure-services-and-container-integration-with-15th-release-of-cloud- computing-software Pike is scheduled for Sep 1: https://releases.openstack.org/pike/schedule.html ACTION: Joao will go through documentation and let Lars know what to change _______________________________________________ Wg-openstack mailing list Wg-openstack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://lists.xenproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/wg-openstack
