[Wg-test-framework] Notes from Xen Project/AllNet call 27th April

Present: Ian Jackson, Stefano Stabellini (Xen/Citrix),
   Don Koch, Paul George (All-net).

We discussed three outstanding issues:

Unexpected outage
-----------------

Ian: OS on newcastle reported power button pressed.
    (19:06:25 UTC = 15:06:25 EDT on Friday)

Paul: Paul and Don were at the rack then and sure they didn't press
     any power buttons

Paul: Discussion of whether power cord might have been
     dislodged/disturbed

Stefano: We are talking about the actual power button, not cord.

Paul: Reiterates, sure the power button was not pressed.

Ian: Unhappy with lack of credible explanation.

Ian: From now on, we should avoid doing work (including physical
access to the rack, or software reconfig) on Fridays.

 Paul: OK

rimava (AMD machines whose motherboards/cpus/psus were replaced
---------------------------------------------------------------

Paul: In rack, serial all working, etc. Handed over to Ian.

Ian: Ian has been on leave since last Wednesday, has not had a chance
    to look at these.

ACTION: Ian to test and report back.

oseleta (Dell machines hanging in BIOS during some reboots)
-----------------------------------------------------------

Ian: Reported continuation of this problem to All-net last
   Wednesday.

Paul: They worked fine for Paul on the bench, etc.

[ Email from Ian noted that problem is not easy to repro. ]

Ian: What is status of ticket with Dell ?

Paul: Ticket with Dell still open. Has not chased Dell yet.

ACTION: Ian to try to find better repro.

 ACTION: Paul to chase Dell.

Thanks,
Ian.
