  there are some nearly complete java bindings:
     http://libvirt.org/java.html

you can talk (securely) a remote libvirt daemon via libvirt
integrated remote access:
     http://libvirt.org/remote.html

libvirt java bindings are part of the latest fedora but should compile
and build on other linux distributions and using different SDK without
serious problems.
