Hi Marco,

Do you mean a situation where each VM boots from a âgold masterâ image and the changes are not persistent (e.g. through âclone on bootâ)? If so, this is definitely something I want to see on the roadmap too! J

Cheers,

Dave

Subject: [Xen-API] ROADMAP Feature: Diskless VM support

Hi all,

I'm suggesting to include support to diskless VM in XCP ROADMAP. I think it's easy to do because it would be necessary set the same vDisk configured as read-only for a VMs group. This feature is interesting because it permits go ahead in cloud solution proposed by XCP.

Use example: web farm running the same application behind of balancer.

Cheers!
