thanks Alberto for the quick answer.
There a couple of good benefits by doing it

        1) If a VM is creating using the config file on xen, UUID set on the 
file overwrites the one autogenerated (i.e. UUID is not autogenerated)
        2) If I delete a VM and want to recreate the exact copy of it, I'd like 
to use the very same UUID (that is, btw, used by me to store info on the vm on 
a local databse)

uuid is autogenerated, why do you need set uuid?
