[Xen-API] [XCP 1.0] Images

What is the best snapshot/raw image/xva method to use for maintaining a 
repository of images of multiple operating systems along with their respective 
versions for creating instances on the fly?  I want to program an interface in 
house for our internal cluster of XCP servers.
