If you want to switch server 2 to pool master this should be done while both servers are online. The command is:

xe pool-designate-new-master host-uuid=(UUID of new master)

If it's a temporary problem you could use the following command on the slave server:

xe pool-emergency-transition-to-master

I have  2 server in the pool. Pool management to use Citrix XenCenter. XCP vrtsion  build 61365c of XCP 1.6 beta 3 installed into the servers.
server 1 - pool master
server 2 - secondary
If shutdown server 1 , and server 2 do not start pool master . I dont know how start server 2 to pool master.
