Hello.

The "Designing XenServer 6.0 Network Configuration" PDF I have found

that all pool members have to be identical in their's NIC configurations?

I guess I'll answer myself, from Citrix XenServer Administrator's Guide, page 48:

4.4.3. Creating Networks in Resource Pools
All XenServer hosts in a resource pool should have the same number of physical network interface cards (NICs), although this requirement is not strictly enforced when a XenServer host is joined to a pool.

I thought I would define a "network", and tell each host what interface
shall be used for it. Some of the hosts would have a single NIC to
connect to that "network", others would have 2 or 4 bonded NICs for the
same propose.
The relationship between physical interfaces and a pool-wide network is done by physical interface device name. It seems possible to have different PIF setup on different hosts, that can be tricky, but nothing catastrophic.
