  • Thread-topic: new repo for squeezed

Hi,

As you know, "squeezed" is the XCP daemon which shares memory between VMs via
ballooning. I've created a new repo for squeezed, based on xen-api but with the
broken commits fixed and history preserved. Check it out:

https://github.com/xen-org/squeezed

I've added a "squeezed" package to opam, so if you have already followed the
wiki instructions to build xenopsd, then you need only do:

    $ opam update
    $ opam install squeezed

Internally this just does

    $ git clone git://github.com/xen-org/squeezed
    $ cd squeezed
    $ obuild configure
    $ obuild build

It's not fully ready for prime-time yet: in the course of separating it from
the xen-api mothership I wired in the new xenstore client and xenctrl package.
It's possible I screwed something up doing that so I need to do some testing to
check. Once it's been checked out, I propose we tag a version and make a
release.

Let me know what you think!

Still to-do:
  1. add RPM spec files and Makefile step
  2. same again for xcp-networkd
  3. same again for xcp-rrdd

Cheers,
Dave
