http://bugzilla.xensource.com/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=29 Summary: domU that refuses to shutdown can block machine reboot Product: Xen Version: 2.0 Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P1 Component: Tools AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: rich@xxxxxxxxxxxxx /etc/init.d/xendomains waits for domains to shutdown, but does not timeout and issue an "xm destroy" for those domains that refuse to shut down (e.g. domU kernel not configured to listen to "xm shutdown" commands). A domU guest filesystem can thus influence the behavior of dom0 shutdown, which can leave a colocated server inaccessible after a reboot command is issued. This dependency violates isolation principle between domU and dom0. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
