Still seeing this problem on the FC3 box, Aug 5. Built with PAE=yes. The problem
does NOT happen on a Xen build when PAE is off, or when using the default distro
kernel/build.

Partial test from /var/log/Xorg.0.log: (full log attached in previous comment)
