http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=217 Summary: Sync gets stuck Product: Xen Version: unstable Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: Hypervisor AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: jblack@xxxxxxxxxxx My system generally runs normally, though there's an occasional lost interrupt for hda. My system is: xen-unstable-bin.tgz, ~ 9/01/05 striped down ubuntu (hoary) lvm2 Occasionally lvm2 fails due to an out of memory error. After this happens, running sync (or shutdown, which calls sync) fails. Other commands (such as mount and umount seem to fail too). Occassionally lvm will succeed, but sync will start failing anyways. I notice the following errors when running dmesg: Warning: failed update VA mapping: 000d1046, 04adc063, 00000000 Warning: failed update VA mapping: 000d1047, 04add063, 00000000 Warning: failed update VA mapping: 000d1048, 04ade063, 00000000 Warning: failed update VA mapping: 000d1049, 04adf063, 00000000 (Theres lots of them) Also, I see the following in /var/log/dmesg : device-mapper: dm-linear: Device lookup failed device-mapper: error adding target to table -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
