It seems that the CONFIG_X86_IOAPIC_UP option somehow was missing my config
files. After I pulled the latest source, I am able to find it. Now with
CONFIG_X86_IOAPIC_UP turned on, I can build a xen0 UP kernel and boot it fine on
my box.

I am closing this bug...
