[Xen-bugs] [Bug 547] New: Cannot attach to domain console (x86-32)

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=547

           Summary: Cannot attach to domain console (x86-32)
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: critical
          Priority: P1
         Component: Tools
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: khoa@xxxxxxxxxx
                CC: ricardoz@xxxxxxxxxx

When we try to start a domU (paravirtualized) or HVM domain on a x86-32 system
(in our case, it's the x460), we get a message saying that it cannot read from
xenstored.

This happens when we try to create a HVM domain on x86-32:

vmxdom2:/etc/xen # xm create -c xmexample.hvm
Using config file "xmexample.hvm".
VNC= 1
Started domain ExampleHVMDomain
_X11TransSocketINETConnect() can't get address for localhost.localdomain:6000:
Name or service not known
vncviewer: unable to open display localhost.localdomain:0.0
xenconsole: Could not read tty from store: No such file or directory

The same thing also happens when we try to create a domU as well.

In the x86-64 mode, domains (domU's and HVM domains) can be created OK without
any problem.

This bug essentially prevent xm-test from being to run on x86-32. Thanks.
