[Xen-bugs] [Bug 562] [Xen-HVM] Backend device not found: Error message during xm-test

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=562

------- Additional Comments From dsteklof@xxxxxxxxxx 2006-03-09 23:49 -------
There are a couple problems exposed by xm-test's 11_create_concurrent_pos.py:

1) Hitting limit of number of configured loop devices:

Error: Device 768 (vbd) could not be connected. Backend device not found.

I will edit the test and have HVM check that will use the last /dev/loop? as the
upper limit of domains to create.

2) Rick is hitting a vbd error that specifies hotplug-script failed. This is
quite possibly a problem with xenstore - where the entry isn't removed fast
enough or something died and xend didn't properly handle the situation.

3) there's a race (I think) between qemu-dm writing to the store for the console
and xenconsoled reading the store for that information.

I will patch 11_create_concurrent_pos.py to start.
