For those looking to try this fix, the procedure is

1. Get yourself a x86-64 machine with GCC and the standard development
environment.
2. Get yourself the xen-3.0.2-src.tgz tarball.  Expand it.
3. Insert the three asm instructions described above in
linux-2.6-xen-sparse/arch/x86_64/kernel/entry-xen.S
4. Build Xen as normal using "make dist" followed by "./install.sh"

Those three asm lines are just explicity disabling the alignment checking in
rflags during the interrupt handler.
