I have the same problem after booting xen kernel eth0 [broadcom ethernet] shows
hardware address as 00:00:00:00:00 and the dhcp request times out at start up.
I m using Debian Etch and xen v3.0.3 and the machine is Dell Inspiron 6400.
Please resolve this issue/bug as soon as possible.
