http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1016 Summary: time moves 300x to fast! Product: Xen Version: 3.0.4 Platform: Other OS/Version: Linux-2.6 Status: NEW Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: Unspecified AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: dratone@xxxxxxxxx Hello folks, I've got the following problem,I've got a xen kernel completely compiled on a AMD64 architecture (see below for further hardware specs). When I boot from that kernel, the time goes aproximatly 300 times to fast (300 seconds per second, 5 hours per minute!). I've also compiled the same kernel (2.6.18), vanilla style without any problems. I copied that .config file to the xen build directory (from the top of my head something like build-linux-2.6.18-xen/.config) and ran make linux-2.6-xen-config CONFIGMODE=oldconfig, and enabled all the desired xen functionality (basically just the defaults except for the first 'XEN Compatible kernel' question, to wich i answered 'Y') after I set up grub to boot from it, I reboot. And the time goes incredibly fast. The moment i type 'root' at the login prompt it comes with the 60 seconds login timeout warning imediatly. Eventually i managed to get a console by appending init=/bin/bash to the grub command line. But after a while my entire server crashed because of that. I'll check the unstable version in a minute to see if that works. If not i'll report back my findings. Any tips on how to debug this? Because i'm rather out of idea's at the moment. -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
