http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=543 ------- Comment #35 from bugme@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx 2007-09-25 07:21 ------- This is also happening to me on an IBM xSeries 345 with two 3.06GHZ Xeons, fresh install. Full dmesg below. I have 4GB ram. Kernel name 2.6.18-1.2868.fc6 on K12LTSP (Fedora Core 6), stock kernel. The soft lockup detected on CPU # changes after each reboot. Sometimes 1, sometimes 3, 2, or 0. I have done the exact same on two other xSeries 345's with no issues. One is type 8670-51X, the other is 8670-71X. The one I am reporting the bug for is an 8670-71X. ##################### DMESG ##################### Linux version 2.6.18-1.2868.fc6 (brewbuilder@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) (gcc version 4.1.1 20061011 (Red Hat 4.1.1-30)) #1 SMP Fri Dec 15 17:32:54 EST 2006 BIOS-provided physical RAM map: BIOS-e820: 0000000000000000 - 000000000009c000 (usable) BIOS-e820: 000000000009c000 - 00000000000a0000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000000e0000 - 0000000000100000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000000100000 - 00000000e3feaac0 (usable) BIOS-e820: 00000000e3feaac0 - 00000000e3fef800 (ACPI data) BIOS-e820: 00000000e3fef800 - 00000000e4000000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 00000000fec00000 - 0000000100000000 (reserved) BIOS-e820: 0000000100000000 - 000000011c000000 (usable) Warning only 4GB will be used.
