http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1103 Summary: Segfault & system hang when using HVM with pciback.hide and real mode call Product: Xen Version: unstable Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux-2.6 Status: NEW Severity: blocker Priority: P2 Component: Hypervisor AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: bryan.york@xxxxxxxxx CC: bryan.york@xxxxxxxxx Hello, I'm running Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon with a 2.6.22 xen 3.1 kernel and utils. I want to allocate a SATA controller PCI resource to my HVM DomU. I want to be able to test hard drives using the manufacturers diagnostics. Qemu emulates the hardware, and as a result the diagnostic won't work. (It doesn't detect the controller or Hard Drive.) I can load the DomU, but it appears as soon as it tries to detect the controller, it segfaults and then my entire system freezes.
