http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1058 ------- Comment #6 from w3host@xxxxxxxxx 2007-11-03 04:01 ------- I have tried a lot of configurations. You are right there is an interaction between Xen and the SOL interface. There is no any booting problem if the IPMI interface is disconnected from the console (even though the SOL redirection is enabled on the IPMI interface). So the problem is independent from the SOL redirection. If I wanted to see the booting outputs (of the XEN kernel using SOL) the server was not able to boot. If you connect to the console (dpcproxy -> console) after the XEN kernel booting there is no any problem (you can see the normal kernel output as well). Here is my settings: (Motherboard: Intel S5000PSL) GRUB: serial --unit=0 --speed=19200 --word=8 --parity=no --stop=1 terminal --timeout=10 serial console title Xen 3.0.3-1-amd64 / Debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.18-13etch4xen0 root (hd0,0) kernel /xen-3.0.3-1-amd64.gz console=com2 com2=19200,8n1 module /vmlinuz-2.6.18-13etch4xen0 root=/dev/sda5 ro console=tty0 console=ttyS1,19200n8 xencons=ttyS1 savedefault BIOS: Console Redirection: Serial Port B Flow Control: RTS/CTS Baud Rate: 19.2k Terminal Type: VT100 Legacy OS Redirection: Disabled -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
