[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1376] New: Virtual machines won't boot up after force shutdown when using qcow img.

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1376

           Summary: Virtual machines won't boot up after force shutdown when
                    using qcow img.
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux-2.6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Hypervisor
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: e.kleinlangenhorst@xxxxxxxx
                CC: e.kleinlangenhorst@xxxxxxxx

When using a qcow image to run a virtual machine in xen 3.3, after three or
four 'force shutdown' (destroy) actions, the domain 0 has to be rebooted, else
no new domU's can be started.

This is the error:

[2008-10-21 13:30:32 4246] WARNING (XendDomain:1041) Failed to setup devices
for <domain id=9 name=Versie6 memory=1098907648 state=paused>: Device 832 (tap)
could not be connected. xenstore-read backend/tap/7/768/params failed.

Our config file, used to create the domU:

kernel = '/usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader'
builder = 'hvm'
memory = '1048'
device_model='/usr/lib64/xen/bin/qemu-dm'

# Disks
disk = [ 'tap:qcow:/var/xen/vm/versie6/image.img,ioemu:hda,w',
'tap:qcow:/var/xen/vm/versie6/image2.img,ioemu:hdb,w',
'file:/var/xen/images/versie6.iso,ioemu:hdc:cdrom,r' ]

# Hostname
name = 'versie6'

# Networking
vif = ['','type=ioemu, bridge=virbr1']

# Behaviour
boot='cd'
vnc=1
vncviewer=0
sdl=0
vcpus=2

some other info:
[root@blade1 ~]# uname -r
2.6.18-92.1.13.el5xen
running Centos 5.2
