[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1463] New: LVM snapshots not working in Dom0

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1463

Summary: LVM snapshots not working in Dom0
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: x86-64
        OS/Version: Linux-2.6
            Status: NEW
          Severity: major
          Priority: P2
         Component: Unspecified
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: uxorious@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I installed Debian Lenny, and built xen-unstable from the repository.
(xen-unstable.hg changeset 19597)
It created the Dom0 kernel using the 2.6.18-xen kernel.
(linux-2.6.18-xen.hg changeset 868)

Booting it, everything seems to work fine, but LVM snapshots are broken:

lvcreate --snapshot --size 1G --name TEST_SNAP LVM/TEST_SRC
> device-mapper: reload ioctl failed: Cannot allocate memory
> Failed to suspend origin DTS_HEAD

On top of that, I now have a bunch of LVM partitions that fsck fails on during
boot:
> bread: Cannot read the block (2): (Invalid argument).
> reiserfs_open: bread failed reading block 2
> bread: Cannot read the block (16): (Invalid argument).
> reiserfs_open: bread failed reading block 16
>
> reiserfs_open: the reiserfs superblock cannot be found on /dev/mapper/LVM-BL.
> Failed to open the filesystem.
>
> If the partition table has not been changed, and the partition is
> valid and it really contains a reiserfs partition, then the
> superblock is corrupted and you need to run this utility with
> --rebuild-sb.
