[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1600] New: kernel compiled with Intel i915 driver support KMS will hang XEN dom0 system

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1600

           Summary: kernel compiled with Intel i915 driver support KMS will
                    hang XEN dom0 system
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: x86
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Linux-pv_ops dom0
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: huataihuang@xxxxxxxxx

My platform: Gentoo x86
Kernel: v2.6.32.11   (xen/stable-2.6.32.x)
XEN: XEN4.0 (have used 3.4.2, same result)

Install method reference with http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenParavirtOps
I download 32bit PAE (xen/stable-2.6.32.x 2.6.32.10):
http://pasik.reaktio.net/xen/pv_ops-dom0-debug/config-2.6.32.10-pvops-dom0-xen-stable-x86_32
Then change some config to adapted with my Dell Inspiron 640m Laptop computer.

When I set kernel compile config:
CONFIG_DRM_I915=y
CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS=y

After boot, the console show xen boot, when change screen resolution ratio,
system hanged and the screen has nothing display.
I have tried not use "CONFIG_DRM_I915_KMS", dom0 xen system can boot and used
smoothly.But now the xorg-server has upgraded, and intel i915 graphic card
drivers force to use KMS, otherwise the X system can't boot.

How to solve this problem? Is it a bug?
--------
I read http://wiki.xensource.com/xenwiki/XenPVOPSDRM:
Crashes with KSM. Interestingly, if only 2GB are passed to Dom0, the problem
disappears.
But I set 2G dom0 can solve this problem.
