[Xen-bugs] [Bug 1607] New: VT-d on Dell Optiplex 380

http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1607

Summary: VT-d on Dell Optiplex 380
           Product: Xen
           Version: unstable
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: n/a
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Hardware Support
        AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
        ReportedBy: zhalassy@xxxxxxxxxx

Dell Optiplex 380 has a BIOS option, "Enable Intel® VT for Direct I/O", this
is turned on, then i removed the power cable for ~40 secs as suggested on the
wiki, turned on again, and checked the BIOS it's still on. Xen 3.4 crashes with
iommu=1, Xen 4.0 does not, but claims IOMMU Unsupported.

The Motherboard has the Intel G41 Express chipset, and has a Core2 E7500.

Does this one lack the support for VT-d, or is there some kind of workaround?

This is the output for xen 4.0:
