http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1636 Summary: guest always in printing some useless information when detach vf Product: Xen Version: unstable Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Hypervisor AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: yang.z.zhang@xxxxxxxxx Environment: ------------ Service Arch (ia32/ia32e/IA64): ia32e Guest Arch (ia32/ia32e/IA64): ia32e Guest OS Type (Linux/Windows):linux Change Set: 21769 Hardware: WSM-HEDT Other: xen-changeset: 21769:a672af698bc3 pvops git: commit b29254c40dac94960fd3887275c65c83b71086ea Merge: cc867b2... 9d85e25... Author: Jeremy Fitzhardinge <jeremy.fitzhardinge@xxxxxxxxxx> ioemu git: commit add968aaf68cb57257428f8cfadb209f2614a6d8 Author: Ian Jackson <ian.jackson@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Jul 2 17:36:01 2010 +0100 Bug detailed description: -------------------------- Assign a pf or vf(not pci or pcie nic) to the guest in the config, then dynamic attach a vf to guest. when we use 'xm pci-detach ' to detach the vf which we dynamic attach before, you will see the guest alway in printing some information and can not stop. This issue can be produced only when guest is rhel5 or rhel6, it work well with slse and win2K8 sp2. we also test this case under xen-4.0, but it is ok under it. Beacause guest boot fail in pae now, so we do not test it in pae. when pae is working well, we will test it too. Reproduce steps: ---------------- 1.hide pf and vf 2.assign a pf to guest in config file 3.xm cr <your config file> 4.attach a vf to guest then detach it and the problem will arise -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
