http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=1770 Summary: [VT-D] NIC cannot work in vmx guest Product: Xen Version: unstable Platform: All OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Severity: major Priority: P1 Component: HVM AssignedTo: xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ReportedBy: yongjie.ren@xxxxxxxxx CC: yang.z.zhang@xxxxxxxxx Assigned NICs cannot cannot work in guest. Guest can boot up, and the NIC driver is installed in guest. It cannot get ip by 'dhclient'. This is regression between CS:23546 and CS:23553. Chang set 23546 doesn't have this issue. I use Intel 82574L and 82541PI Gigabit NICs. Reproduce steps: 1.prepare a config file with "pci = [ '07:01.0' ]" ; the NIC 07:01.0 is stubbed using pciback in host. 2.xl create myconfig 3.in guest, run 'dhclient eth0' (if eth0 is the NIC assigned) 4.in guest, run 'ifconfig', we found eth0 cannot get IP. Environment: Service Arch (ia32/ia32e/IA64): ia32e Guest Arch (ia32/ia32e/IA64): ia32e Guest OS Type (Linux/Windows): Linux xen changeset: 23553:eca057e4475c xen-date: Fri Jun 17 08:08:13 2011 +0100 pvops git: commit 6d94b752e1363757f8eb4558e6f721a3e703cfe2 Author: Ian Campbell <ian.campbell@xxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed Jun 1 16:48:15 2011 +0100 ioemu git: commit e073e69457b4d99b6da0b6536296e3498f7f6599 Author: Stefano Stabellini <stefano.stabellini@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri Feb 11 17:54:51 2011 +0000 tboot changeset: changeset: 252:794ec65050c1 tag: tip user: Joseph Cihula <joseph.cihula@xxxxxxxxx> date: Mon Apr 11 11:35:06 2011 -0700 summary: Added Developer's Certificate of Origin 1.1 to README -- Configure bugmail: http://bugzilla.xensource.com/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. _______________________________________________ Xen-bugs mailing list Xen-bugs@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-bugs
