this is great!!! I'll edit some of the XML sample files to convery from MOF to CIM-XML, so that you can still use a low-level CIM 'client' like wbemcat/wbemexec to send across raw XML. Guess we can finally rip out the parser from the providers now too. BTW - sfcb is only going to support CIM-XML embedded instnaces too, so this MOF parser is largely unnecessary now.

I've tested it with a modified version of the Xen_VirtualSystemManagementService provider. It only supports embedded instances encoded in CIM-XML, not MOF. It requires a client that also supports embedded instances by use of the EmbeddedObject XML attribute. The OpenWBEM client library supports this, as does pywbem. > Thanks. > Jim > > > -------- Original Message -------- > Subject: openWBEM embedded instance support > Date: Mon, 5 Mar 2007 06:32:25 -0800 > From: Gareth S Bestor <bestor@xxxxxxxxxx> > To: jfehlig@xxxxxxxxxx > > > > Do you happen to know if/when and how OpenWBEM will be doing their > embedded instance support?
