[Xen-cim] Where does the xen-CIM provider run?

Hi,
Is it necessary for the xen-CIM provider to run only on the xen Server host or can it run out of the box?
If it is possible to run it out of the box (i.e. on some other host) then how do we connect it through the Xen host?
