[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: [Xen-ia64-devel] Compilation problems
I would eagerly accept an arch/ia64/Makefile patch that checks for the presence of the linux-2.6.11 tree and, if missing, provides a useful error message. Ideally this should work from the main (xeno-unstable.bk) directory and from within the xen directory. Even better would be code that would (perhaps after confirmation) wget and install the linux-2.6.11 tree. (Code from the xenlinux part of the main xen tree may be leveragable.) Any Makefile wizards want to volunteer? (Note that 2.6.11 will at some point go to 2.6.12 and so on, so it would be good if this only need be changed in one place.) > -----Original Message----- > From: xen-ia64-devel-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:xen-ia64-devel-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf > Of Greg Edwards > Sent: Wednesday, May 04, 2005 11:30 AM > To: Ricardo Staudt > Cc: xen-ia64-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: Re: [Xen-ia64-devel] Compilation problems > > On Wed, May 04, 2005 at 11:16:48AM -0800, Ricardo Staudt wrote: > | I'm having trouble trying to compile the > 'xeno-unstable-ia64.bk' module > | from bitkeeper (the one I assume we should use) in order to > have Xen > | running on a IA64 machine. > > Ricardo, > > Take a look at xen/arch/ia64/tools/README.xenia64.
