[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] RE: [Xen-ia64-devel] RE: [elilo-discuss] a patch to make elilo loadanother module
Great! I would be happy to try out a preliminary version of these instructions... Last Friday, I managed to trash one disk on my test machine and partially trash another, both running RHEL3.2. Rather than reinstall 3.2 and then install RHEL4 a few days later, I will just wait and go straight to RHEL4. Dan P.S. Has anyone successfully run multiple domains with a real domU disk yet? This was my first attempt and the result was that not only was my domU disk partially trashed but my dom0 boot block got trashed too. Could have been pilot error on my part, but -- caveat user -- clone your disk before trying this experiment! > -----Original Message----- > From: Yang, Fred [mailto:fred.yang@xxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Friday, August 05, 2005 4:14 PM > To: Magenheimer, Dan (HP Labs Fort Collins); Xu, Anthony > Cc: xen-ia64-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: RE: [Xen-ia64-devel] RE: [elilo-discuss] a patch to > make elilo loadanother module > > > It would be very useful if someone would write and post > > a complete "recipe" for the steps to get RHEL4 running as > > domain0 on Xen/ia64, including such things as: > > - where to download the source of elilo > > - how to apply the elilo patch and generate a new elilo > > - what to specify in the elilo.conf file to boot RHEL4 > > I would be happy to beta-test the recipe as I would like > > to update my Xen test system to RHEL4. > > > Will send Knowhow out next week. > -Fred > _______________________________________________ Xen-ia64-devel mailing list Xen-ia64-devel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-ia64-devel
