[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index] [Xen-ia64-devel] Gentlemen, please start your engines! :-)
Hi, So I kinda got bored of booting Xen on that little test box I have here and tried it out on a medium sized system instead. I ran into a couple of issues in the sn2 specific code and some with default values in the dom kernel being set to silly low numbers ..... like CONFIG_NR_CPUS. Basically I wont be able to go bigger than this before we switch to 4-level page tables for dom0 :-( I was hoping someone could point me to a link with a 'how to boot domU for dummies' now that dom0 has booted. Thanks, Jes ELILO boot: x6 Uncompressing Linux... done Loading file net0:jes/vmlinuz-xen...done Uncompressing... done __ __ _____ ___ _ _ _ \ \/ /___ _ __ |___ / / _ \ _ _ _ __ ___| |_ __ _| |__ | | ___ \ // _ \ '_ \ |_ \| | | |__| | | | '_ \/ __| __/ _` | '_ \| |/ _ \ / \ __/ | | | ___) | |_| |__| |_| | | | \__ \ || (_| | |_) | | __/ /_/\_\___|_| |_| |____(_)___/ \__,_|_| |_|___/\__\__,_|_.__/|_|\___| http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/netos/xen University of Cambridge Computer Laboratory Xen version 3.0-unstable (jes@xxxxxxxxxxxx) (gcc version 4.1.0 (SUSE Linux)) Wed Jun 13 10:38:13 CEST 2007 Latest ChangeSet: Tue Jun 12 11:30:52 2007 +0200 15193:08cea2883d9e (XEN) Xen command line: BOOT_IMAGE=net0:jes/xen.gz dom0_max_vcpus=64 dom0_mem=4G (XEN) xen image pstart: 0x3014000000, xenheap pend: 0x3024000000 (XEN) Xen patching physical address access by offset: 0x0 (XEN) find_memory: efi_memmap_walk returns max_page=3ed1efa3 (XEN) Before xen_heap_start: f0000030141c6c30 (XEN) After xen_heap_start: f00000301bf6c000 (XEN) Init boot pages: 0x3003000960 -> 0x3014000000.
