Kernel command line: BOOT_IMAGE=scsi0:/EFI/gentoo/boot/xen.gz console=vga console=tty1 console=ttyS1,19200 root=/dev/sda3 dom0_mem=1879M ro For an ia64 system, the append line in elilo.conf is split as follows: <xen options> -- <linux options> I think you'll have better luck if you make your append line something like: append="dom0_mem=1879M -- root=/dev/sda3" Let us know how that works.
