[Xen-users] lo doesn't come up

Hi, all. This probably isn't really a Xen issue, but I've never seen the problem in a UML instance, or a straight Debian install. I created a Debian setup in Xen with debootstrap, and ran it as a Xen guest with hardware access using my Xen0 kernel so that I can allocate my NICs to the Xen guest. The NICs and virtual device set up by the Xen bridging scripts seem to come up when the guest is booted, but the loopback device doesn't. This creates odd behavior when, for example, I try to ping out, and also seems to prevent sshd from starting. Has anyone seen anything like this?

Thanks!

-sten
