[Xen-users] cant access /dev/hdb when booting from xen kernel

i installed xen in ubuntu by compiling from source.
when ever i boot using the xen kernel i can't acces my primary slave hdd (hdb) on which home is mounted. why is this happening.
i am using ubuntu 5.04
i am new so please tell me.
1. what info i need to provide.
2.what can i do.
