plus backups, monitoring, management... I'm sure there are more than a few people on this list (myself included), who either do, or plan to sell domU services. 2048 meg of ram split 6 ways (include dom0) doesn't go as far as it used to. I would assume that "purpose built" boxes for Xen hosting would have more memory... I know mine do/will. -Tom On Thu, 1 Dec 2005, William wrote: > would anyone be interested in sharing the cost of a dedicated server. > 4-5 domU > > here is one place > Layered Technologies > P4 2.8GHz, 2048MB RAM, 80GB drive, 5 IP, 1000GB bandwidth > $114/month $19 setup fee > first month $133/5=$26.6 per person > after that $114/5=$22.8 per person > > a second 80GB drive is $20 > so it would cost $153/5=$30.6 per person for the first month > after that$134/5=$26.8 per person > > I live in NY,USA. > William > > _______________________________________________ > Xen-users mailing list > Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users > ---------------------------------------------------------------------- tbrown@xxxxxxxxxxxxx | Don't go around saying the world owes you a living; http://BareMetal.com/ | the world owes you nothing; it was here first. web hosting since '95 | - Mark Twain _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
