[Xen-users] error when creating

when i run the command in Dom0..xm create guest1 -c, i get the 
following message:

Waiting for device /dev/hda1 to appear: ..........not found -- exiting to /bin/sh

then the system drops to /bin/sh and sits ther until i do a ctl-]
there is a /dev/hda1

any ideas what i should look for?
