It seems if i use info instead of debug with log, the entry gets written to /var/log/messages. However i would still like to know where does it get written to when log debug is used.

Also i see this:

Feb  7 15:17:56 xen net.agent[29524]: remove event not handled
Feb  7 15:17:56 xen net.agent[29500]: remove event not handled
Feb  7 15:17:56 xen logger: /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route-xencp: ifdown vif13.0
Feb  7 15:17:56 xen logger: /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route-xencp: /etc/xen/scripts/vif-route-xencp failed; error detected.

Is this normal ? This seems to be related to part of my post itself, using the ifdown vif13.0 returns error. Also the error from net.agent about remove event not handled.

Any help would be appreciated.
