Am trying to boot my first guest VM, but it doesn't fly. Ideas?

Here's my .cfg file:
--------------------
kernel = '/boot/vmlinuz-2.6.12.6-xenU'
memory = 512
name   = 'cathedral'
root   = '/dev/hda1 ro'
disk   = [ 'phy:vg/cathedral-root,hda1,w', 'phy:vg/cathedral-swap,hda2,w' ]
vif = ['ip=152.160.178.51']

...
register_blkdev: cannot get major 8 for sd
umount: devfs: not mounted
mount: unknown filesystem type 'devfs'
ReiserFS: sda1: warning: sh-2021: reiserfs_fill_super: can not find reiserfs on sda1
kjournald starting. Commit interval 5 seconds
EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode.
umount: devfs: not mounted
pivot_root: No such file or directory
/sbin/init: 432: cannot open dev/console: No such file
Kernel panic - not syncing: Attempted to kill init!

Thanks.
