I'm not convinced yet that I'm not doing something wrong in setup - even
when I install linux with qemu onto an lvm partition, I still can't boot
it, with the same behavior.

Anywhere I can go to get more debugging info?  If it wasn't included in
my first post, I don't know where it would be.

I keep seeing these reports of the Dell 380 workstations booting HVM
guests to the login prompt - i can't even get them to start booting -
they never use more than 0.0 CPU time.

Any ideas?
