i tried out as said.. but still i get this error....

# modprobe xennet
FATAL: Could not load /lib/modules/2.6.16-xenU/modules.dep: No such file or directory

how do i solve this ?

This is the longterm-solution.
Start your domU with a xenconsole and try loading the module
there using modprobe. Adding something to a file can also
be done with 'echo stuff >> file'.
