The question here is: did you try it, and what is your problem doing so?

The only difference between building your kernel in a domU versus dom0
is, you have to copy the kernel and initrd into dom0 after that, as
long as you arent' using hvm, because your domU kernel is needed in
dom0 to start the domU. But you probably already know that from
reading all the available documentation and the wiki (hint hint!).

But I don't understand what this has to do with the output of uname.
