Is it fully "yum update" current (not just the kernel!)? I've seen a 
couple "audit" related threads (mentioned in your orig. post), though 
certainly are fixed now.

selinux=0 setenforce=0 acpi=0 
are some boot params to the kernel you might experiment with...
