You can run a 32-bit userland on a 64-bit kernel. That's what i do. /Jonathan Nico Kadel-Garcia skrev: Abri Nation wrote:I haven't tried running 32-bit DomU's under 64-bit operating sytems. Switching from 32-bit to 64-bit "en vivo" this way is begging for pain. Backing up your images and Xen setup is *good*. I've seen reports of people running 32-bit VM's successfully on 64-bit OS's, but I've personally had serious trouble with running non-rebuilt apps from 32-bitenvironments in a 64-bit environment. (Wacom devices, in particular.)Why do you have to update your server to 64-bit but not your VM's?64-bit was the request of the boss for the base operating system, but i could install i386 also. the instantaneous installation was actually not for active service. but now the virtual machines are running, and i have to switch the operating system cause we do no use fedora on our linux servers at all. also you do not recommend to install 64-bit? than i will install i386, i think there would not be such a big difference,or?thank you Nico!_______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users _______________________________________________ Xen-users mailing list Xen-users@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx http://lists.xensource.com/xen-users
