That strongly hints that you're not RAM or CPU limited. What does "top" and "xm top" report on Dom0?

And oohhh, oohhhh! Have you tried moving the directory "/lib/tls" to "/lib/tls.disabled" and rebooting, to avoid the problems with glibc and tls and Xen? Some versions of glibc are compiled in ways to avoid the difficulty, some are not.
